Gangneung’s Anmok Beach is famous for its “coffee street,” a line of cafes facing straight out to sea. It started with simple vending-machine coffee on the beachfront and grew into a strip of individual cafes — today Gangneung is nicknamed Korea’s “coffee city.”

- Beach walk — follow the sand to the pine forest behind Songjeong Beach.
