Udo means โ€œcow islandโ€ โ€” from above, it is said to look like a cow lying down. It sits just off Jejuโ€™s east coast, a short ferry ride from Seongsan Port, which makes it an easy day trip.

Highlights

  • Seobin Baeksa โ€” what looks like white sand is actually tiny nodules formed by red algae. The water here is a clear emerald green, Udoโ€™s signature view.
  • Udobong โ€” the islandโ€™s highest point, with green slopes, open sea and Seongsan Ilchulbong across the water.
  • Geommeolle Beach โ€” a black-sand beach with a sea cave.
