💡 Good to know
  • The paths between the tea rows are steep in places — wear comfortable shoes.
  • Finish with green tea or green tea ice cream at the bottom.
  • Spring to early summer, when the new leaves come out, is the freshest season.
📷 Photo tips
  • From the upper viewpoint, shoot the curving tea rows on a diagonal.
  • Misty early mornings make for dreamy photos.
  • The cedar-lined entrance path works well as a vertical shot with strong perspective.

Boseong is one of Korea’s biggest green tea producing areas. Its best-known plantation, Daehan Dawon, covers whole hillsides with neat terraces of tea bushes — the classic image of Boseong.

When to go

From spring, when the new leaves appear, into early summer the fields are at their brightest green. On misty early mornings they look almost unreal.

Walking the fields

Enter through a path lined with tall cedar trees, then follow the trails between the tea rows up to a viewpoint at the top. Afterwards, a cup of local green tea or a green tea ice cream is a must.
